It keeps you very cool, but the plastic is stiff and it slips off of the pillow.

This was not what I expected. It was basically an ice pack that is flat. After cooling it in the freezer, it's almost too cold to enjoy. Also, as it "melts" or warms overnight, it becomes too moist (and it's NOT my sweat--it's the water condesention). If ever I have a head injury, it would be useful, but not for regular use.

I was not too please with the size of this. I thought it would be larger.

Bought the chili gel Pad as an attempt to stay cool. It advertises as staying cool for 3-5 hours, but barely lasts 20 minutes when I lay on it. Not worth the 30 bucks

This pad really does work to cool your head. It can even slightly cool through the pillow if the pillow is turned over to the opposite side the insert is on. Waiting to see how it works in the summer. The only drawback is after a few hours is begins to feel somewhat clammy and the insert can feel hard. It does what it claims to do and if being too hot while sleeping is a problem, the pad definitely helps. Recommended.
