While this blanket is a whole 12 inches in length shorter than the Eddie Bauer that I usually buy, it's just as soft. the quilted top fabric make it thicker and warmer. I love the cheerful pattern. It's nice to find a lap blanket that'e geared toward women and warm too. the Sherpa lining is just as thick and soft s the Eddie Bauer brand, so no loss there.
I use my blankets year around, mostly late evening when I'm settling down for the night. On extra cold days or damp rainy days, I use it a lot in the day time. My blankets end up with lots of dog hair on them and washed quite often, so I wear mine out quicker than most. I buy a new blanket every year or so when the Sherpa gets thin from washing. It leaves the netting that holds the soft fuzzys in place exposed and it pokes me so I replace and donate the used ones, or stick them back for winter power outages.
I like this companies cheerful colors and patterns. Who said all lap blankets have to be plaid?!?
