I am copying my review for the Ribbed Microfleece heated blanket.. I purchased this one 1st.. but Loved this blanket so much, i purchased the ribbed one too. My husband is perpetually chilly, and it compromises decent sleep for him. I decided to see if a heated blanket might do the trick.. and the answer is YES.. -- in contrast to my husband I am perpetually overheated.. but I also Love this blanket. I set the pre-heat before we get into bed, and he can crawl in and fall right to sleep... and I even enjoy the preheat.. we can have the temps different for each side (he sets for 7 I opt for a 2). Easy to wash - and then I hang to dry over the stair railing. Dries rather quickly. I keep a sheet between the blanket and ourselves.. -- and really do not need anything else on the bed, but we do have a light quilt overtop, just for a little extra weight (we like heavy blankets). We do not feel any "wires". and the cords for the blanket tuck in nicely along the bed frame rails. The controls are easy to use, even when half a sleep. And it auto-turns off, would be easy to forget to do.

This is the last time I'll ever buy this Beautyrest blanket. My husband and I live in a cold climate in an old house, and we keep the heat low to keep bills low. This blanket (and its predecessors) are responsible for keeping us warm every night, some afternoons and some late mornings from late Sept. to about June. Previous ones lasted at least a full season; the last one before this lasted a little longer. We get them on sale and figure rebuying each year is worth it, given all the heavy use. This one lasted just about a month; it heats (slightly) on 1 side now, and very, very slightly (after hours) on the other. 20 feels like a 2 or 3. I'm now looking at a *** , hoping the bigger initial investment will at least buy a decent blanket. If you use your blanket a lot, you might want to consider something other than this one.

Wife says it doesn't heat as fast as old one .

I was told id have blanket 2/14 as husband ill and needed warmth..i was counting on it for Valentines Day as promised. really sad and disappointed

This is a very nice blanket, we are enjoying it.

This blanket is soooo soft and has heat setting options 1-20. I get cold easily and this keeps me warm through the night at 13 or 14. It's WONDERFUL!!

I bought this item for my grandson and he love it. He reports that it keeps him comfortable through the night on 4-5 setting (out or 20) with the heat set at 68.

Would prefer heating coils to be closer to the edge of the blanket. They appear to begin about 10 inches from the edge
