I read the reviews before hand and had seen this piece in person and thought it would be sufficient. It arrived with a chip in the top piece. The directions were not the easiest to follow as we had a difficult time figuring out which way the drawer slides were to be attached. And then we decided that the piece was not quite the quality wood that we were looking to find. I think this was exacerbated by the fact that we went to ikea the weekend after assembling this piece and saw a chest of drawers there that was of equality quality, with more room, and for half the price. We typically only go to ikea when we need a quick cheap "something," and didn't consider looking there for baby furniture. :-(
