I have 2 of these carpets on my screen porch and love them. I have 2 long hair cats which roll around on them all the time and i have no problem getting the cat fur off, it is easy to vacuum the fur right up - I have a canister vac with a beater head and an upright, both work on the carpet. The pile is medium/short and very dense. You cant go wrong with this carpet.

The pile is very short and dense. I have 2 dogs, 1 black, 1 white and they shed on everything. I have no problems getting the hair off this rug and really, I can't see any on it, (but I know it is there :( YUCK!!) Sometimes I use the dust buster, sometimes just the sticky rollers, and sometimes the vacuum, but I don't do it everyday. It doesn't show dirt either. I have another colorful rug that does show the dirt and my dogs sleep with us and I put some large top sheets I have on top of the comforter and change them EVERY night because of the dirt and hair. We are having our backyard redone and it is a mass of weeds and dirt right now... Dirty, muddy paws! It has been the best wearing area rug I have had.

I agree.. It has purple toned fushia . I use purple accent pillows on my cream colored slipcovered sofa and club chairs and it works great. But it. It goes with any decor!

There is a fuscia and a dusty pink, the more it gets walked on the fuscia seems to get dulled a bit. The "purple" to me is in the eggplant range. It is not a bright purple, it is a very deep eggplant and it is a lot of threads which weave through many of the other colors, which is the way most of the rug is, which is why there aren't a lot of very "distinct" colors. The orange, yellow, gray... have kahki tan threads woven throughout; so they are dulled a bit. It is a really interesting rug and it is pretty much whatever you want it to be.

It definitely has more pink in it than purple, and the edge is pink. Not quite fuschia--a little brighter than that. I was worried that it wouldn't go but there are so many colors in the rug that it goes with most decor. The rug is very soft, which is perfect for where we have it.

Not sure how it would look. What I was not happy with about this rug when I got it is that the trim is bright pink which stands out a lot from the rug and in my mind made it look cheap. Total bummer because I like the colors within the rug.

I think this rug would give your kitchen a bright pop of color. Yes, the trim is more of a hot pink but it truly compliments the rug. This rug is also comfy for bare feet.

This is a great rug. It is trimmed in a very bright pink, so make sure you like pink! it seems to be much brighter in color that the picture shows, but i love it! If you have a HOME store near you, they had it in their store, but at a higher price.

It'll definitely add some color and you won't notice the pink edge.....although I have to admit when I was scrutinizing it upon arrival, it is the first thing I noticed! It's really pretty and worth the money! Edges will relax after a few days from being rolled up.

Personally, I don't think it would look good with red curtains and a red recliner. Those are dominant colors - this is a dominant rug. I would use this rug to add to a blah room, not to a room that already has a good amount of color. Just my humble opinion. :)

With colors as a matter of preference, the dominant color of the squares in this rug is pink - that'd be a bright pink ' all colors are very bright. It looked great with a yellow leather couch - I had a serious allergic reaction and gave it away where it looks great with a gray couch. one red item might work, and depending on the shades of red. I agree with the other answer... definitely great for a blahhh room!

I was worried that the pink would be to light-in one of the photos, the trim looks almost lavender. But was very pleasantly surprised by this rug. The trim is more of a raspberry color. The oink in the rug goes from a deep magenta to a light raspberry. I have it in a gold painted room and it looks wonderful

Why not get the blue version of this rug instead? I can see you wanting brightness & contrast, but the colors in this rug will detract from your loveseat & fight with your wall colors for dominance. I think a more uniform monochromatic look will give you contrast from the walls, bring in the blue in your loveseat & create a peaceful atmosphere as well. I think the bright rug & the wall colors will give you too much color...no continuity & will make the atmosphere of the room very edgy. I don't think they go well. The blue rug has some nice golden tones in it.

We have a charcoal gray couch in the room where this rug is, and it works well with gray and every accent color. The edging isn't so obvious that it clashes, but the rug is a focal point, rather than a background piece. Your walls will definitely pull in the gold shades in the rug.

I am searching for gold in my rug and there is a very small amount of gold-orange. The yellow is more lemon. I have some gold color in my wood floor and it does work just fine. Although I was worried about the pink binding when I first put it down. it doesn't bother me at all. It is extremely versatile.
