None of these have USB ports just the charging port that is at the bottom of it that would plug into a USB port or wall outlet. Throughout the generations of iPads they have become better in terms of speed graphics and Siri, Apple's personal assistant was added to the iPad 3. I bought the iPad 3 for all of those reasons I just mentioned and it was not much more than the iPad 2. If you're looking for a great buy I think the iPad 3 is the way to go. Hope this helps!
